I can't say much about 9/11 without tearing up, so I will just share a couple of pieces that I've done...
This young man, Mike Stokely, died serving our country. You can read more about Mike and the amazing Art From the Heart project at http://www.atlantafineartsleague.org/ARTFROMTHEHEART.HTML
And this young lady is standing at a Red Cross table, where they were doing what they could in the aftermath.
May we always be mindful, may we always stop to remember.

Wow! Thank you very much!
Thanks for sharing your heart and soul. I gave you a blog award yesterday (see my blog). Your work is very inspiring and as I have said before, I plan to make your blog my personal figure workshop someday.
Those are beautiful pieces.
Beautiful. They gave me chills.
For some, it is beautiful portrait of a soldier as he looked while standing by the road in Iraq, unknown to him and others, it would be the last image as he looked in life. For others it is a shared gift which visually reflects the cost of freedom - a lifetime of love. For our family, it is living portrait that illustrates a special privilege of sacrifice, one which no solider or family wants, but if not borne by us, then who should bear it in our place?
Thank you for your time and talent as you captured so much of Mike in a living portrait that we are so proud to see shared with so many.
