So I said "Well, Ari...what do you think?"
And she replied..."It almost matches".
I guess I'd better keep working!
I realize now (maybe Ari saw something I didn't?) that one eye is a little higher than the other. Some adjustment is needed! But I do like the colors, the head wrap, everything else so far. I am debating on if I should add the elaborate tattoo that is on her left shoulder...I don't want to detract from her beautiful face.

How precious. I see Ari has a beautiful tatoo on her left shoulder too.
LOL Sharon - you're right! You can't start preschool without a tough girl tattoo!
My daughter is my best critic. I don't really enjoy the negative comments, but she is always right. Of course, when she says something positive I know she means it and that is the best thing in the whole world! Absolute honesty you can really trust. Out of the mouths of babes comes perfect praise, for sure.
Beautiful work! It is so great that Ari takes interest in Art. I hope she will take that with her into adulthood....that's a gift and a treasure indeed... :) Kirsten
how cute.
No I wouldn't do anything else to it.
That's pretty funny. My 4 year old daughter lets me have it with my paintings, too. Although, when it's happening to me - it's not as funny.....
Stacy - LOL! Yeah...we have to be careful when we ask for honesty!
I hope both of my kids keep looking at my work, talking about it, telling me what they like/don't like. It will be up to me to make sure they are always honest, and look for both good and bad aspects of each situation (art and otherwise)
Plus, if they do have a criticism, I want to teach them how to be constructive.
Of course, they are only 3 and 5, I'm just making sure I remind myself that this is the ultimate goal!
